I’ve always wanted to write and illustrate very short stories (story snippets really), so the Gmund Paper eco line samples for Igepa Plana seemed like a perfect project to test if I posessed any copy/writing skills.
One of the things that was wonderful about this project is that I had complete freedom in the creation of the style, tone and the story. The only thing regarding the visuals that was strictly defined in the brief were the colours of the papers.
The theme was also right up my alley - ecology and sustainability, as all the featured papers are made from recycled materials.
The five paper samples inspired me to make a little seasonal guide (front page + four seasonal pages = 5 papers) for a life in tune with nature, as demonstrated by a chill bear.
As for the technical side of things, I decided to go with silkscreen printing.
The illustrated paper samples were sent out to the client’s business partners including designers, ad agencies and printing offices.
